Outdoors

Our strength in outdoor learning derives from Keswick's vision as the Adventure Capital of England. We are surrounded by World class outdoor opportunities and try to make the most of these at all times. We have a developmental programme of outdoor residential visits as well as a wealth of outdoor learning opportunities in school, including our own Forest School area with campfire, school pond, garden areas and large open spaces. Each year group in KS2 summits a local fell, culminating in climbing the mighty Blencathra in Year 6. Staff, led by our Forest School leader, plan outdoor lessons in all subjects as part of our everyday curriculum.
