Year 4 Yurts

Children leave school and walk via Portinscale to Hawse End Centre and spend the evening barbecuing and carrying out lakeshore games and challenges, before sleeping in the two yurts beside the lake. After a cooked breakfast next morning, they set off and walk over Catbells, enjoying the scenery and learning about the local wildlife and natural landscape. On returning to the lake shore, the group catches the launch across the lake and walks back to school via the ice cream shop; always a favourite!
